ADVANTAGES OF LIQUID PAINT SYSTEMS

Liquid paint systems offer numerous advantages, making them the preferred choice for many industrial applications.

  • Versatility: Liquid paint systems can be used to coat a wide variety of materials and are therefore suitable for many different industries.
  • High-Gloss Finish: Liquid coatings achieve gloss levels that cannot currently be matched by powder coating systems.
  • Wide Range of Colours: Liquid paint systems offer an extensive selection of colours, textures and special effects, providing maximum flexibility for decorative and functional coatings.
  • Adaptability to Complex Shapes: Liquid coatings can be applied easily to complex geometries and contours, making them ideal for three-dimensional components.
  • Low Investment Costs: Compared with other coating technologies, liquid paint systems often require lower initial investment costs.
  • Fast Colour Changes: Colour changes can be performed quickly, making liquid paint systems particularly suitable for flexible production. Depending on the process, overspray recovery is limited.

Liquid paint systems are widely used in industries such as automotive, furniture, household appliances, electronics, aerospace and metal processing.

Liquid painting systems from e. Luterbach

We manufacture a wide range of liquid paint systems, including customized solutions for individual applications. Our experienced engineering team designs and builds paint booths, large-scale paint booths and multifunctional paint booths tailored to the specific requirements of your production process.

Paint booths in systems

With automatic painting systems, large quantities can be produced reliably and just in time. The manual, partially or highly automated and intelligent liquid painting systems include all the necessary process steps and are usually accompanied by automated conveyor technology. Paint booths from e. Luterbach are characterized by their outstanding energy efficiency and high degree of innovation. The contemporary use of painting robots and the integration of a higher-level MES system are among our core competencies. From automatic component recognition to coating using multi-axis robots, there are no limits to our degree of automation. Thanks to the intelligent MES system, all desired processes can be monitored and reported as required, including remotely. We offer process reliability in all areas so that we can maintain a high standard of quality even for delicate applications.

The level of automation of the coating process is customer-specific and can also be regulated in individual sub-processes. Semi-automatic systems with manual overhead conveyor and partially automated processes, such as in the oven, are also possible. Automation makes it possible to achieve the highest possible hanger utilization, which increases throughput enormously. Process-integrated conveyor technology brings the parts to the processes in the desired arrangement in order to achieve an optimum workflow with the highest possible throughput. Solvent-based or water-based paint is applied using the latest technology from our partners. Flexible color change systems are of course also part of our ultra-modern systems. We seamlessly integrate the processes of degreasing/cleaning, adhesive water drying, liquid paint application, color change systems, evaporation, drying ovens, cooling zones, conveyor technology and robotics into our systems.

Large-capacity spray booths

For workpieces in exceptionally large areas, we offer you customized solutions for largecapacity booths. Despite their size, these booths are energy-efficient and comply with all current standards so that they can be operated in an environmentally friendly and costsaving manner. Our large-capacity cabins can be equipped with various handling devices and conveyor technology for heavy loads. This allows your processes to be efficiently integrated into the existing workflow and optimized. This combination enables you to guarantee reliable and just-in-time production, even for very large and heavy workpieces. From automatic component recognition to coating using multi-axis robots, we offer comprehensive automation options. The MES system monitors and controls all processes to ensure maximum process reliability and quality standards. The customizable level of automation and the process-integrated conveyor technology maximize the utilization and throughput of your production lines.

Multifunctional cabins

e. Luterbach AG has developed a multifunctional cabin that can handle large and heavy components with minimal handling effort. This compact booth offers flexible processes such as washing, drying, painting and evaporation. The customized ventilation system ensures optimum employee protection, efficient air flow and energy-saving heating. Our multifunctional booths are all-rounders for the reliable and just-in-time production of large quantities. They include all the necessary process steps and are supported by automated conveyor technology. The level of automation can be adjusted according to customer requirements. Maximum utilization of the conveyor increases throughput. Processintegrated conveyor technology optimizes workflow and throughput. Flexible color change systems and state-of-the-art technology are standard. We seamlessly integrate all relevant processes into our systems.

What Components Make Up a Liquid Paint System?

  • Liquid paint systems (also known as wet paint systems) apply liquid coatings to a wide variety of surfaces and components. They are used across numerous industries, including automotive, furniture, metal processing and plastics manufacturing. A modern liquid paint system consists of several integrated components that ensure an efficient, reliable and high-quality coating process.
  • Preparation & Pretreatment Area: Liquid paint systems should include preparation and pretreatment stations where workpieces are cleaned, degreased and, where required, sanded to ensure optimum surface conditions before coating.
  • Paint Booth: The coating material is applied inside enclosed paint booths designed to provide a clean, controlled environment for uniform, high-quality coating results.
  • Paint Application Systems: Depending on the application, paint can be applied using spray guns, pump systems, 2K mixing systems or electrostatic application technology. These systems can be operated manually or fully automated, depending on production requirements.
  • Drying Oven: After coating, the workpieces are dried or cured to ensure complete hardening of the coating. Depending on the coating process, different drying technologies are used. For water-based coatings, a flash-off zone is often integrated before the drying oven.
  • Quality Control Systems: Quality control equipment such as colour measuring devices, coating thickness gauges and visual inspection systems ensure that every coated component meets the required quality standards.
