Energy efficiency for Industrial Coating Systems

The coating process is one of the most energy-intensive stages in industrial manufacturing and, in some applications, accounts for up to 70% of total energy consumption. Improving the energy efficiency of individual processes and entire coating systems offers significant potential for reducing energy consumption and operating costs.

At e. Luterbach AG, we implement state-of-the-art technologies and innovative engineering solutions to optimize the energy efficiency of powder coating systems, liquid paint systems and complete coating plants. From energy analysis and profitability calculations to engineering, implementation and commissioning, we provide comprehensive support throughout the entire project. In numerous projects, documented energy savings of several hundred thousand euros have already been achieved.

As energy prices continue to rise, investments in energy-efficient coating systems have become increasingly attractive. In many cases, modernization projects achieve a payback period of three years or less, making energy optimization both environmentally and economically beneficial.

Independent studies by institutions such as the Fraunhofer Institute IPA in Stuttgart further confirm the considerable savings potential of energy-efficient coating technologies.

PinCH ANALYSIS

We have expanded our engineering expertise with PinCH Analysis, enabling us to design even more energy-efficient coating systems and production facilities.

Unlike conventional optimization methods that focus on individual components such as curing ovens, PinCH Analysis evaluates the entire production process as an integrated system.

By extending the system boundaries, surrounding processes and infrastructure—including auxiliary equipment, buildings, compressors and adjacent production facilities—can also be incorporated into the analysis.

This holistic approach identifies additional optimization opportunities, maximizes energy savings and significantly reduces long-term operating costs.

While PinCH Analysis has long been established in energy-intensive industries, e. Luterbach AG successfully applies this proven methodology to the design and optimization of industrial coating systems.

Numerous projects have already been completed using this approach with outstanding results. In one project, the documented energy savings even enabled the customer to secure public funding for the construction of a new coating plant.

Invest in sustainable, energy-efficient coating technology with e. Luterbach AG and reduce your operating costs for the long term.
